And it burns, burns, burns!

It was a crazy weekend visiting Gma and Gpa Mueller. We had a great time relaxing and eating until a little mishap on Sunday. Nathan ended up getting burnt pretty bad on the fire place in the basement. We took Nathan to emergency care after his hand started to blister. Nathan was a trooper and realized quickly that his hand felt better when he put it in the tub of water we had for him. Once we got him bandaged up I think he started feeling better. After almost 2 hours of crying from the pain, he fell asleep on the way home.

Here's a shot of Nathan when we got back. He held onto the block in his hand the entire time and didn't let go of it for a couple of hours!
Our tired out little guy after a crazy afternoon. He slept until about 1:30am and woke up in pain, but once we got some medicine in him he fell back to sleep.

Nathan's hand this morning. I didn't think that such a little hand could have such a big blister. A HUGE thanks goes out to Lori who came over to change his bandage. He was really in pain when we took off his "club" and his little hand was exposed to the air. It was hard to watch! I'm nervous for tomorrow when we'll have to do this ourselves.

Home again and somewhat back to himself.

Stand up, sit down, fight, fight, fight!

Nathan went from "no hands" to standing up by himself in no time! It's amazing the changes that have happened the last couple of weeks. Today he took his first step!! Of course now I can't get him to do it again. I'm sure it won't be long until I'm running around after the little man.

We had a great weekend in Fort Wayne. Grandpa May is now Dr. Pastor May. I think we'll stick to calling him Grandpa. By the end of the week Nathan was pretty attached to Grandpa. Nathan also loves playing with his cousins! He couldn't stop smiling at Micah and Gloria.

May's Days

Reading with Daddy
Sleepy time.

Look at my two teeth!
This past weekend we took a little road trip to Indiana. We drove through the driving rain and a few miles from a tornado on Friday, but arrived safely at Aunt Toot's cabin on Lake Shafer. We helped clean up and repair the dock. Then we drove to visit with a bunch of Joel's friends in Indy. It was a great time catching up with old friends. Mom and Dad made me so proud, they were the couples Beirut (beer pong) champs! We stayed a little longer on Sunday than we planned and then crashed when we got home.
This weekend is another busy one (and one of mom's favorite events) with the Jones Day Prom, Mother's Day and a Cubs game.
Monday was Uncle Sean's b-day! Happy Birthday Uncle Sean!!!!
